Effective September 20, 2026. This policy covers OtterCheckers for iPhone and iPad, operated by OtterSports, LLC.

Local play

Computer and shared-device games work offline. Saved games and preferences stay on your device and may be included in Apple-managed device backups. The app has no advertising, tracking, analytics SDKs, custom accounts or developer-operated game server.

Optional online play

Online play uses Apple Game Center. Apple processes your Game Center account, player identifiers, display name, participant information, moves, saved match state and results to authenticate players, invite opponents, store games and deliver turns. Opponents can see your Game Center identity and shared game state. The app reads this information to display and operate your matches. We do not copy Game Center data into a separate developer database or use it for advertising or tracking.

Online match data and identifiers are used for app functionality and associated with Game Center participants. Apple manages Game Center data under its Game Center privacy information. Manage Game Center and its privacy settings in iOS Settings. Use the native game list to manage your games.

Sharing an invitation

If you choose Share an invitation, the app creates a small file containing your Game Center player identifier, display name and creation time. The destination and people you select receive that file. Your chosen messaging or email service handles it under its own policy. The recipient confirms before opening the Game Center invitation flow. The app accepts invitations for seven days after creation; copies already shared remain in your chosen service until you remove them.

Motion and audio

Device motion changes piece lighting locally. Readings are never recorded or transmitted. All music and effects are bundled and play offline. The app does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, or location.

Purchases and support

Apple handles purchases; we do not receive payment details. If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to answer your request. To ask about or request deletion of support correspondence, contact us below.

This website

This website is hosted on Vercel. Standard hosting requests may include IP address, browser details, requested page and time for delivery and security. These requests are separate from gameplay. We have not added analytics scripts, tracking cookies or advertising.
